BEFORE THE TREATMENT

1. What devices can do skin microneedling?

If you’re getting a RF microneedling treatment done, your treatment provider at RichSkin will be using Lutronic Genius™.

 

2. Is there any downtime?

You will experience mild redness following your Lutronic Genius treatment and you will be able to resume normal activities immediately. Full healing may take 1-3 days but makeup may be applied sooner upon direction from your treatment provider.

 

3. I have darker skin - can I still get this treatment done?

Yes. RichSkin uses Lutronic Genius for RF Microneedling treatments. This technology is safe and effective for all skin tones, even darker ones.

 

4. How many sessions will I need to see results?

Your practitioner will discuss your goals, which will determine the length and number of treatments. Dramatic results may require multiple treatments. Typically 2-3 treatments give optimal results. 

 

5. How often/far apart should the treatments be?

Treatments are done 3/4 weeks apart.

 

6. Do I need to do anything to prepare for the treatment?

Make sure your skin is clean. Do not apply any lotions, creams, perfumes, powder, or makeup before your treatment session. Remove all jewelry around the area being treated. If you have excessive hair on the treatment area, shave it beforehand. It also helps to be prepared with information about your medical history—the your providers at RichSkin will likely ask about it.

 

DURING THE TREATMENT

1. How long does a treatment session last?

Depending on the area treated, it can take as little as 15 minutes and up to an hour. There is an initial pinkness and swelling which typically subsides after 24-36 hours. It may take up to a week for this to completely resolve.

 

2. What does the treatment feel like?

You will feel some pressure and heat. The treatment is typically tolerated with topical anesthetics. Your practitioner at RichSkin will work with you to find and improve your comfort level.

 

AFTER THE TREATMENT

1. How will my skin feel after my treatment?

There is an initial pinkness and swelling which typically subsides after 24-36 hours. It may take up to a week for this to completely resolve.

 

2. How long will the results last and are they permanent?

After your final treatment, your results will continue to improve. However, one touch- up session may be needed approximately every 6 months, depending on how your skin responds.

 

3. Is there any downtime/How long is recovery time?
